Cupcake Cake 1st Birthday

A client wanted me to make a giant cupcake cake, and a dozen sparkly matching cupcakes for her daughter's first birthday! The color scheme was lavender and pink! So cute! I think the cupcake cake turned out great!

Cherry on top!
The liner was made out of candy melts. The client wanted the liner to be white with pink stripes. The liner was my favorite part besides the cherry, and was so easy to make. For instructions on how to make this liner go here. If you have any additional questions about the liner feel free to ask!
Happy caking!

Beautiful Belle Birthday

So, this past weekend I had the pleasure of making a birthday cake for my younger cousin Audrey, who is currently in love with the Disney character Belle. If you have ever had to make a Disney character then you know that it is very difficult to do. (Also, not recommended since all Disney characters are copyrighted, and should not be sold). However, since this was for my little cousin I agreed to try, and recreate the magic of Belle in cake form for her. The cake was made to look like Belle was descending a grand staircase just like the movie. Overall, I am pretty happy with how Belle came out, and the birthday girl was over the moon!

I added a lot of disco dust to the staircase to make it sparkle!

Here are some pictures from the party of the birthday girl with her cake.

Happy 4th birthday Audrey! I hope that it was one to remember!

New Year! New Cakes!

We'll I just want to start off by saying that I had a wonderful New Year, and I am excited for all of the weddings and celebrations that I will get to be a part of this year.

I had the pleasure of being a part of the Timonium Bridal Expo this past weekend, and had a wonderful experience. It was great getting to meet and speak with all the new brides. I just wanted to share a photo of our booth set-up, and also share a new cake that we made for display at the show.

I love the way this cake turned out! I think that the sugar balls really set us apart from the other bakeries there. All of the pearls along the bottom of the tiers were hand placed by me, and let me tell you that was a labor of love!
Hope you enjoyed this, and I'll be back with great new cakes for the new year!
