Favs of 2012

So I realize that I totally dropped the ball on this one but, I was really sick right around the new year. So I am just going to highlight some of the great events and cakes that I got to be a part of in 2012.

First up, my grandmother turned 85 in 2012! I am so lucky to to still have have her around to share stories and memories with me! She is still sharp as a tack and I hope she is around to celebrate many many more birthdays! To see the full post go here.

Next up, one of my good friends turned the big 30 this year (that means I'm getting closer too ahhhhhhhhhh) but, I was there to help him celebrate with a Baltimore themed birthday cake. Steve has been a good friend of mine for over 10 years now and, I am happy I get to be there to celebrate milestones with him. Check out the full party here.

I also got to be a part of many couples big days. I am so grateful that I was able to share in their memories and make their cakes. It is awesome to be able to make a small part of their dream wedding come true. Here are some of my favorite cakes from this year! Some of them almost gave me a heart attack delivering it, but I made it through and, am ready to take on 2013! Check out full details here, here, and here.

Of course one of my favorite events of 2012 was celebrating my nephew's 2nd birthday party! The theme was not so scary Mickey Mouse Halloween Birthday, and I was able to make a spectacular dessert table for him. I can't wait until next year when he can tell me exactly what he wants and I can capture it in cake. Check out his party here.

I would have to say that the last big event for my family this year was the Disney vacation we all took together. It was my niece's 6th birthday and, of course no celebration is complete without a cake. So we drove a cake 900+ miles down to Florida to make her birthday extra special! It was a wonderful relaxing time with our family, an fun to see all the kids at Disney together. Click here to see our Disney vacation!

So that was my year in review! It has been a great year and I can't wait to see what 2013 hold for me and my business. I hope that great things are in our future, and I can't wait to celebrate many more weddings and events with my clients! Happy New Year!
